Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) posits the existence of a subtle energy (Qi, pronounced chi) that circulates throughout the entire human body. TCM considers pain and disease to be a Qi blockage or imbalance. Strengthening and balancing Qi flow can improve health and ward off disease. All TCM therapies – herbs, acupuncture, massage, and Qigong – are based on this perspective.*
Definition of Qigong: Qi is energy, vital force, vigor, liveliness, stamina. Gong is the work or way of moving energy through the body.
Daline's Intention: To teach health and fitness Qigong based on classic Chinese Taoist medical self-healing theories and techniques; to help and support others who are committed to improving their own health through these practices.
What it is: Gentle movement, stretching, self-massage, deep breathing, intention, meditation.
